With the Numark PT01 Scratch Turntable you get a fully portable performance turntable with little more than the addition of batteries and your favourite vinyl. Built with Numark’s exclusive Scratch Switch, adjustable for either right or left handed scratching styles, you’re free to grab your favourite scratch record and basically perform any turntablist scratch routine anywhere. The scratch and slide switch is user-replaceable and the unit comes equipped with a red slip-mat to perform light to heavy-handed scratches with your scratch records.
It plugs into a wall outlet and also runs on 6x D size batteries so wherever you are, whether you have access to AC wall power or not you can scratch to your hearts content.
It’s easy to connect your phone or any audio source to play a background beat through a mini jack line and you can increase the volume with the gain control to play through the built-in speaker. The speaker is more than adequate for personal listening and scratching, but to be honest you’re not going to be filling a room with sound! For that fuller experience you can connect to other equipment such as external speakers via the RCA stereo outputs or you can revert to using the headphone output for an in-ear listen. A great feature is that you can also rip vinyl via the USB port using the free EZ Vinyl software.
Other features are a 33/45/78 switch and 10% pitch control. The latter is great if you fancy having a pair of these wrapped around a small mixer for some fun with 45s.
Small and light enough to fit in the crate with your vinyl collection, you can carry it more or less anywhere.
