By doing so, the festival aims to reduce lifecycle CO2e emissions by up to 90 percent.
In a remarkable feat of innovation, even Arcadia's colossal fire-breathing spider will be fueled entirely by recycled biofuels. This commitment to sustainable practices extends beyond energy generation. Glastonbury Festival has also implemented a ban on the sale of single-use plastic drink bottles and environmentally hazardous disposable vapes, encouraging more sustainable alternatives. Additionally, their on-site recycling facility ensures that waste is hand-separated for single-stream recycling, avoiding the need to send waste to landfill.
